What are we doing to support our communities?
When it comes to giving back, we feel it’s important to do what we can in the communities where our customers and associates live and work. We proudly support the efforts of a wide range of nonprofits and programs, locally and around the globe.

Public school education is particularly near and dear to our hearts. In 2011, we started partnering with two charities that value the importance of fostering and promoting safe, happy and effective learning environments: DonorsChoose.org and Teach For America.

DonorsChoose.org is an online nonprofit that makes it easy for anyone to help students in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America post classroom project requests on the site, and people can give any amount toward any project. When a project reaches its funding goal, DonorsChoose.org ships the materials to the school. Donors receive photos of the project taking place, a letter from the teacher and insight into how every dollar was spent.

Teach For America is a national organization committed to the movement of leaders who work to ensure that kids living in poverty get an excellent education. In order to accomplish this, Teach For America handpicks recent college graduates to teach in urban or rural schools for a total of two years.

Garments for Good
Whenever possible, we like to use our creative resources to lend support, designing T-shirts and other items to sell in our stores and online with net proceeds going back to the charitable partner. Recently, we introduced Garments for Good to create products in partnership with St. Anthony High School, Friends of the High Line and the National Park Foundation.

We are also happy to support a long list of local and national organizations in a variety of ways, from dedicated shopping nights to product donations, such as: Baby Buggy, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, National Park Foundation, National Wildlife Federation, OPUS, Publicolor, Ronald McDonald House, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The Tiny Miracles Foundation, American Red Cross, UNICEF USA, among others.
