Microsoft Internet Explorer To determine if you need to upgrade your browser, click on 'Help > About Internet Explorer' in the top menu bar in the upper left corner of the browser window. Within the window that pops up, you will see a phrase "Cipher Strength", followed by either 40-bit, 56-bit, or 128-bit. If you see 56-bit, you need to upgrade or adjust your browser.
