The original basketball sneaker, the Royal Hi was introduced in 1949 and quickly became famous for its distinctive navy and red power stripes and a thicker-than-usual sole. Endorsed by scores of basketball greats and playground legends alike, the Royal (aka Super Pro-Ked) became known by the late 1970s both on and off the courts as the first classic sneaker with serious style—and now it's better than ever. Our designers collaborated with the Pro-Keds team to come up with exclusive-to-us canvas colors and rubber toe stripes, then added thinner laces and a clear ink logo on the inner side of the exterior (details you won't find anywhere else). Sometimes it really does pay to mess with perfection.
