Inspired by a vintage Fair Isle sweater they found on a trip to London, our designers created their own version in soft lambswool, specially woven in a bright color combo you'll only find here. A modern update of the tried-and-true original, it features a geometric design made famous almost a century ago by the always-dapper Prince of Wales. The distinctive pattern was originally created at the beginning of the 16th century by the artisans of Fair Isle, a tiny island in the north of Scotland. They employed an age-old technique known as stranded knitting, where the strands of two or more colors of yarn were used to produce its unique appearance. A cool-weather essential with some serious pedigree, it easily pairs with jeans, tweeds and chinos for a sharp and sophisticated look.
