Our newest, limited-edition suit, inspired by classic British hunting jackets and finished with authentic patch pockets, a slightly wider lapel and a rolling three-button closure. It's expertly crafted in a luxurious wool flannel from Fox Brothers & Co., suppliers of fine textiles to London's historic Savile Row for nearly 250 years and the officially credited original creators of flannel (so it doesn't get more authentic than this). Ludlow features a narrow, pad-stitched lapel; sleek lines and a cut. Thanks to its timeless versatility and carefully considered construction, it's perfectly suited to wear wherever and still stand apart.
Precision-tailored in the finest two-ply cotton from Thomas Mason, one of Europe's oldest and most legendary mills (they've been weaving some of the world's finest shirting since 1796), this shirt is designed with a slightly shorter body meant to be worn untucked. Lightly garment-washed for softness, it's finished with bespoke-inspired details, like contrasting fabric at the gusseted hem and sleeve placket, and accented with genuine mother-of-pearl buttons for a sharp and polished look. Slim fit—a trimmer version of our regular fit that's cut more narrowly through the body and sleeves.
This is the tie that's casual without being dressed down. Made in NYC's Long Island City, it's handcrafted in the same fabric we use in our men's suiting collection (Italian twill from famed Milanese tailor and textile designer Larusmiani). We're wearing ours with standout graphic shirts (like cool navy gingham) for a crisp combo that just looks smart.
Available only at J.Crew. Founded in Massachusetts by Charles H. Alden in 1884, the Alden Shoe Company is the oldest shoemaker in New England. Alden handcrafted these elegant wing tips in Horween Chromexcel leather and then hand stained and shined them to a rich lustre. They feature all of Alden's hallmark details, including their famed Goodyear welt, full leather lining and dovetail heel reinforcement. And to be sure they last generations, you can send them back to Alden for resoling at any time. Because these shoes are handmade, your size may be on back order—but they're worth the wait. When cleaning, lightly apply a neutral paste or wax polish; for a darker hue, use a tan paste or wax polish.
These shoes were shaped over a Barrie last and run one half size larger than regular US sizes.
