Rated 5 out of 5 by Nick First pair of Desert Boots...
After contemplating between the Clark's and these - I decided to pick these up as the soles weren't as tall (if you will). Looking for a hybrid of a boot that I can wear to work (office job) and out to dinner, etc. They do run large. I'm normally a size 9-9.5" and I purchased an 8" and they're still a smudge too big. The shoe is very nice. Leather is good quality from what I can tell (this is my first pair of boots in general as I reside in FL and there is no need for boots). They're comfortable. I have worn them for 9 hours straight with no complaints. Shipping was quick. I originally purchased the 8.5" and I returned them for the smaller size. They even upgraded my shipping.
Would purchase again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Adam Great All Year Round!
I've had these boots for several seasons now, and I must say that they've held up well no matter the time of year. I appreciate the soft leather because in the warmer months I'll go sockless. I also like their versatility; they can literally go with just about anything in your closet.

great looking and low maintenance! wore this while walking around the city, 4 miles, of sf and it was quite comfortable. got them wet. had them in snow the next day. water residue was left all over them but a day later, a little warm water and detergent, air dried, and they look great!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mark Never wear these in the rain
These shoes look and feel great, but they're a disaster as soon as they get wet. They develop horrible white water slicks, and these seem to be impossible to clean off properly. The oil also seems to be badly affected by the water, actually developing hard ridges on the shoe that just look really bad.

The MacAlister boot is one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I also purchased the tan suede MacAlister and wear them both, often!
