The schoolboy blazer has always been my go-to blazer when I want to purchase a blazer. However, this year's gray flannel fabric looks like cheap polyester and is inferior to the soft, rich flannels of just a few years ago. The issue is fabric selection. J. Crew needs to go back to the richer, finer, more structured fabrics it once used. Cost-cutting by using low-quality fabrics isn't something that long-time customers will ignore or fail to notice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TallClassicMom Great basic that will last
I have a few Jcrew blazers and love them all and this one did not disappoint. I've been waiting a gray blazer for awhile so when I saw this one I snatched it up. I think it fits true to size, I usually get a 4T and this one fit like all my others. For reference, I'm 5'9" and 140. It will be a great piece to take into the fall, perfect for layering and I imagine I will have it for years to come!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Birdy Great alternative to the boring black suit
I paired this elegant lilac wool blazer with the navy Italian wool trouser in lieu of the boring black suit for a job interview. I feel that the color is fresh and interesting. I like the fit of the blazer, that it hits at the hip and has a fitted look. The fabric is lighter weight wool and the jacket is lined. True to size. I am 125lb, stand 5' 6" and wear a 4.
