Boys' short-sleeve rash guard

Product Details

Recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation as an effective UV blocker, this second-skin rash guard provides UPF 50 sun protection—ideal when he's catching waves all day. Even better: We styled it just like his favorite tee so he won't put up a fight when it's time to put it on. But remember, nothing is 100 percent effective against sunburn, so keep sunblock on hand as well.

Boys' short-sleeve rash guard

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Decent rash guard. Runs big. Typically I size up in J. Crew clothes for my boys. My 5.5 year old wears size 6-7 in shirts, etc. The size 4/5 rash guard fits him perfectly so I would recommend going down a size from your usual in this item. We are sun sensitive and do not tan easily so I am glad J. Crew is offering these swim guards in short-sleeve and in various colors. My kids do not like the long sleeve rash guards in hot summer months. May 24, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice rash guard I ordered the white and gray for my 4 year old. He hasn't worn the gray as of yet, so my review is based on the white. The fabric seems to be good quality but I only gave 4 stars because after only one wear, the threading under the arm began to unravel. I returned and replaced it with another one in white and the same thing happened. I decided to keep it and fix it myself and I'm happy to say we haven't seen further unraveling. I'm hoping we don't encounter the same thing with the gray. Aside from the unraveling, it's a nice, comfy swim shirt, my son loves it....especially the short sleeves! July 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Light weight, dries fast. Soft like a t-shirt and thin enough to wear dry without being hot. My boys love these! True to size. August 7, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by does the job beautifully My 11 year old boy likes to wear a rash guard at all times and consequently beats them up. He likes to blow in them and float around , looking like the Michelin Man. This shirt takes that abuse and more, and, if you can find it on sale, the price point is perfect. It looks great until he stretches it out of whack but that takes a whole summer. The only defect is the sewn-on pocket which is a nice aesthetic touch but otherwise serves no purpose and always comes off leaving unwanted stitch marks. August 5, 2015
