This suit jacket is crafted in the finest wool from an Italian mill that's been family owned for 16 generations and is considered one of the best in the world. Find out how to get the perfect fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Fit and Finish Researching initial reactions to the Crosby there seems to be a divide between whether the new line and cut are for "athletic" or "fuller" size guys. I'm happy to say it's the former. At 6', 210 with an 8.5" drop, I consider myself an "athletic" build. The slight adjustments in the chest, shoulders and arms makes the 42R Crosby #navy# much more comfortable than the 42R Ludlow while maintaining a modern silhouette. Best part? The pants fit true to size. Normally I order J.Crew pants up 2" and have them brought in to accommodate my seat and thighs. These fit perfectly. Overall, I am very pleased with the cut and quality. It actually feels to me like the jacket is half-canvassed which is a detail I wish more designers would call out as it makes a big difference in terms of the life and comfort of the suit. Suggestions for J.Crew...a double vent jacket option and I think us loyal customers would appreciate if incentives applied to suits from time to time in-season. September 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A great jacket if you work out with iron! Although I'm fairly slim, I do run several times a week)and I do work out regularly. I found the Ludlow jacket to be too constricting in the shoulders and arms. The Crosby jacket is just the ticket. It offers room in the right places while still achieving a slim silhouette. Nicely crafted and great looking! October 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Fit! I would recommend this jacket to any man who lifts, plays sports or who has a large frame. This jacket is absolutely spot on in terms of modern aesthetics (not drowning in fabric like your grandfather's suits), quality and price. The loro piana super 120's wool is top notch and although the jacket is only half canvased, the jacket should last. March 1, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by great suit; fabulous fabric this is a really good simple suit; the wool is really good; the shape of the suit is great. Maybe double vent is better February 25, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Major Disappointment I'm not sure what J Crew has in mind when they say 'athletic' fit but they may need to rethink their definition. I still can't wrap my mind around how much excess material was in the midsection of the suit. Apparently they have an NFL offensive lineman in mind when they say athletic body type. I'm 5'11 190 lbs with a 10 inch drop from chest to waist (44R/34W) and suits typically run too tight in the chest and shoulders. I stumbled across the Crosby suit and thought it would work well since it offered more room in the arms and shoulders. The Crosby jacket is closer to a traditional fit as opposed to tailored or slim fit (better fit for V shaped body). I took the jacket to my tailor who said the suit would require a total recut to take in material around the midsection and she ultimately recommended against it. This jacket definitely does not cater to the 'in-shape athletic' type. The suit pants on the other hand fit pretty well and looked good. September 7, 2016
