Rated 4 out of 5 by mcadamsandwich The almost-perfect OCBD
Fit: The Ludlow fit is slightly trimmer and longer than the Vintage Oxfords, in my experience, but not enough to change your size. If you wear a Slim Medium in other J.Crew shirts, get a Medium in this one. Note: these shirts WILL shrink slightly in the first warm wash, but fit even better afterwards.
Fabric: Great fabric! Classic, thick and crunchy Oxford cloth reminiscent of one from another Brother. Already softening up and breaking in after two wears.
Details: The collar is a little longer than other J.Crew collars, but still too short for a "proper" OCBD collar roll. Speaking of collars, this one has a fused interlining (along with the cuffs). Some may like this for the easy care aspect, but a cheaply applied interlining can delaminate and bubble up if too much heat is applied. I discovered this after a hot wash and dry; my collar looks like I've permanently ironed wrinkles into it. This is the sole negative aspect of this shirt warranting the 4-star review.

Rated 3 out of 5 by David Overall good shirt.
A bit stiff and like all other Crew men's shirts...for some strange reason the cuff button is placed at the very edge.
But the cut & fit are good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by MGDC Decent shirt, but hugely oversized
J. Crew's trend of ever-expanding sizes continues with this shirt. I'm always looking for good quality oxfords that can be dressed-up or -down. J. Crew USED to make very good oxfords, but less so these days....
I have always worn a slim small in Crew shirts - but I'm increasingly unable to do so. They market the Ludlow fit as a "tailored" fit - this shirt is anything but. I ordered a small and it was almost a full size too big, though the neck was appropriately sized. Otherwise, however, the shirt was extremely baggy and oversized. Frankly, I'd say that the small was cut for a man of at least 6' who is 15-20 lbs overweight. I'm 5'9", 36" chest and it fit me like an overcoat.
Really wish J. Crew would return to making clothes that are accurately sized...the posted size charts are very misleading at this point.
