Blazer-jacket in Italian fall blanket wool

I don’t get the other reviews. This jacket is nothing like the quality of J crew from 8 plus years ago. Fabric is pilly, itchy and rough. No longer are there substantial belt loops but cheap little strings to hold the belt on. Ugh, I’m done! Too much money at final sale which has put me over the edge. Bring Jenna Lyons back please.

I purchased the camel color in size 4 and get compliments every time I wear it. I especially love that there was no need for tailoring! Small con on the piling of the material, but that is minimal. This coat/blazer will be a staple item in my wardrobe for years. You can dress it up for a sophisticated outfit or dress it down and still have a pulled together chic look with joggers, hoodie and sneakers. The material and craftsmanship is beautiful. Well done JCrew!

Ordered one size up hoping for an oversized look. Tried it on the minute it arrived. Was wearing a sweatshirt but found that the arms and shoulders felt snug with the thickness. It has a beautiful wrap and the belt is long enough to tie and look lux. I consider this a forever item.

Every once in a while, J.Crew will create something truly outstanding. Remember the Lexington blazer with enameled buttons? This is one of those pieces. It's lightweight, warm, flattering. I have a short torso and broad shoulders and the fit is tailored perfection, creating a streamlined silhouette where the wrap hits exactly at the natural waist and the shoulders are structured enough to emphasize the figure. The belt is exactly the right length so that it can be tied in a looped knot without coming undone. I purchased my usual size 4 and this fits over a simple turtleneck but I've also layered it over a denim jacket. Definitely will be coming with me to Paris in March.

One of the best J.Crew purchases of recent years. Between the high quality wool, comfy pockets, belted design, and trademark J.Crew colored collar, this jacket is a winner. Size-wise, I ordered a 6 which is my usual blazer size. (5'5,. 130lbs, 36B) It fit nicely and was very pretty; however, I wanted the ability to wear it as a jacket as well, and the size 6's armpits were a bit tight when I tried to raise my arms even wearing just a t-shirt. The size 8 was perfect! The overall sleeves/body remained about the same size, but the armpits were large enough to comfortably raise my arms. Cannot wait to wear this!! You'll be perfectly fine with your normal J.Crew blazer size here, but if you want to wear it as a jacket in addition to a blazer, you might benefit from one size up.

This is so cute and so much more than I was expecting. I ordered black size 10. I'm 5’5 140lbs 36DDD end wish I ordered a 12. I'll make the 10 work since it can't be returned.
