True to size but if deciding between two sizes, I would pick the larger one. These are very comfortable and easy to move around in. I find that many high rise with stretch jeans tend to slide down & require constant tugging back into 'position'. I do not have that issue with these. The rise is not that high either. I consider a 10 inch rise to be more 'mid' or 'normal', not 'high'. They don't come up above your belly button. They're only high rise if we're comparing them to the unfortunate hip-slung jeans of yesteryears. They aren't high rise if compared to a genuine high rise pair of pants that would hit at/above the belly button.

I just purchased these jeans and I could not be happier!!! They are one of the most flattering pair of jeans I own to date . I have a shorter torso and still they work for me. Very well constructed and not too heavy so they will be perfect for Spring and Summer. I purchased to pair with the paisley top!! Love the combo.
Try these jeans!!! They ran TTS for your normal toothpick size.

I pretty much only buy JCrew jeans now. They hold up and I don't have to alter them. I'm 5'7'. I wore these for the first time this weekend and love them. They are figure flattering. I love the slightly frayed ends. The lighter shade is great too.

I have been searching endlessly for a pair of high rise jeans for my cropped and off the shoulder tops...this pair is perfect! The material is light and not too tight - love the frayed bottoms and the color is such a great wash for the summer!
Highly recommend...keep it up JCrew :)

Love the modern style, however, after wearing one time the seat bagged out. Love the style so much, I thought of ordering another pair in a smaller size.
