Rated 5 out of 5 by Pretty Good I'm a guy, and to be honest, I bought this jacket cause it was a heck of a lot cheaper than the basically identical men's version (which is never on sale). I'm a thin 6' and I took a large--it fits me perfectly. I think may be nicer than the men's version even. I guess what I'm saying is: it's so much easier and cheaper to shop when you don't care about gender lines. So do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! September 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it! Love the color and quality of this jacket. The color is a more vibrant military green, which is what I wanted, instead of the worn look. I am 5'6", 118lbs, skinny/athletic build. The XS was perfect and the small was too big. Great staple for fall! August 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great casual jacket! Nice shade of green but is not weathered or washed/worn looking. Heavy cotton but not hot or stiff. No pull through shoulders. Hood rolls away into zipped collar. I took my usual medium. Drawstring waist adds tailored look. Great pockets. Good length. Covers the bum. I'm 5'7", 135, size 6-8, 34C. Looks good with the down vest in Irish Moss as seen in catalog. I see this item as a high usage jacket which makes it a greater value than the dressier coats. August 19, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Really beautiful & tomboyish I've been in search of the "perfect" military style jacked cut for a woman for a LONG time. This one is, by far, the best I've come across. It's cut a little on the generous side (I normally take a small-medium/ size 6, I took a small here, with room for a layer or two). The armholes & arms aren't too small (yay! Cut for women with real bodies, not teenagers!!). The color is beautiful & rich, as others have commented. The material is substantial, not flimsy (note, it's unlined). The bottom set of pockets on the hips have button flaps & a slip pocket behind them (so you can shove your hands in, if you want to). No complaints about the zipper; it's a bit chunky and "field mechanic"- perfect for the overall look of the jacket. I'm 5'9" with a long torso and the length was great for me. My only *only* complaint is that the arms are a TAD short. Just a bit. If they were a tiny bit longer this would have gotten 5 stars no problem. Otherwise, fabulous jacket. February 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is a winner! I was in the market for an upgrade for my J Crew boyfriend fatigue jacket because military looks will always have a place in my wardrobe. My favourite high end store offered one from a famous three-initials designer for $1500! No kidding; check it out. This one looks almost the same - no, even cooler. The body is the same as the old boyfriend fatigue with these exceptions: the new one is a darker, richer green, the hood is tucked inside in a great standup collar which is SO flattering, and there are no epaulets. I hesitated to get another one so similar until I tried it on. It's perfect! J Crew when you do it you do it great! I took my usual size 6 (I am 5'5, 118 lbs.and have broad shoulders) and it fits well with the right amount of room for a bulky sweater. Now I have an extra $1350 in my pocket. September 11, 2015
