Laila lace-up wedges in suede

Rated 2.9 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfortable Update for Spring! Ordered these in both colors in usual size 9.5. Interestingly, the outside of the box says that the Euro size is 41. Your first clue that these run large. Sending them back for a 9, and going only for the black since the nude color is extremely pale and will not work with my skin tone or a practicality standpoint. Width is on the wide side even with the ties, so if you have a narrow foot you probably won't like these. February 23, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nope So cute but so wrong. The color on this shoe is perfect for spring/summer. Also the lace up style is on point. Not to mention the price! I should have known it was too good to be true. As with most of the imported shoes, the quality on this shoe is off as well as the sizing. Too big and kind of cheap feeling. These are a return. I don't know if I'll continue to take chances with JCrew shoes that are not made in Italy. If you decide to buy, size down 1/2 size. March 2, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice, but stiff, and large. I ordered my usual size 8.5, in the desert pale pink. These run large, I could have gotten an 8 or 7.5 maybe? I loved the color, and I love the wedge height, and I also love the overall idea of these shoes. However, they hurt my ankles, a lot. The internal leather was hard and stiff, and the laces were not soft at all and dug into my skin, even when loosely tied. I've tried other lace up heeled booties this season, with much more pliable and soft laces. Also, the suede seems so easily damageable. These seem like quite high maintenance shoes from the protection of the suede from rain/spills, to the possibilities of them easily becoming scratched. If J.Crew updates these wedges for next season, I'd give them a second try, but not as they are, just not worth it. Also, I guess I'm just changing...I wish, for the price of J.Crew shoes, that they could offer some sort of protective rubber outer sole, and even a hint of arch support/comfort footbed-It really would make ALL the difference! Rated 2 out of 5 by Looks great but poor quality I bought a very similar style many years ago and just love them. These are not made as well. The metal grommets look cheap. I wanted to love them but the overall look was clunky and not the usual JCrew Italian made perfection. I say raise the price and give us better quality. March 15, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Oldies are Goodies A similar style to another JCrew pair I bought a few years ago but, strangely, the fit was very different in the newer version than the older one. The top of the new heel piece was a very uncomfortable fit and the lace up gap is wide and unflattering. I've decided to keep on wearing the older, earlier style and have sent these back.
