Looked forward to the addition of a classic piece to my winter wardrobe. The fit is boxy and runs a little large -- seems to 'grow' while wearing. Lots of pills on the first wear. Most likely won't wear after one season.

Dear J. Crew....why do you keep changing your sizing? What exactly is XXXS now? Changing sizing or adding new sizes to the classic items that many of us buy year after year is very frustrating. I've bought this sweater a few years in a row, and this year, the sizing changed and fit just isn't the same.
Also, the neck on this sweater is WAY too big. Who is the fit model? A giraffe? Please remember that petite woman have petite necks too.

There's not too much difference between this & the cambridge cable turtleneck sweater, but this one is too much for my height (5'3") while the other one is workable in length. This hits well below my hip. If it came in petite, it would work. I'd say it does run true to size, but take heed of the "relaxed fit" description. If you want a body skimming fit like the model depicts, size down. I've noticed that when J Crew knits & sweaters are offered in XXXS through XS sizes, vanity sizing infects the whole size range and a smaller size usually works best. Loved the burgundy color. The fabric lends itself to feeling nice against the skin but is going to require time with the fabric shaver.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Patrice Great style , cheap fabric
You can always count on J.Crew for great style. However,I was very disheartened by the quality of this fabric. Although it is substantial in weight the feel of the fabric is like something you would find in a low price chainstore.
I noticed a number of sweaters this season ,when felt ,had the same hand. After finding acrylic was part of the content I understood why they felt this way and decided not to purchase any of them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by shiva1005 Not as nice as past Cambridge sweaters - just meh
The fit was boxy and odd and the fabric was a bit itchy - very unremarkable. Not impressed enough to keep. I wish J.Crew would start making them with a touch of cashmere again. Those sweaters of old were luscious and I had several which finally wore out. I did like and keep the different Cambridge cable turtleneck which was soft and distinctive.
