Pretty-please! It's been ages since this shirt has been offered in classic black & white and it's about time it comes back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by rocketBling GREAT SUPER LIGHT WEIGHT SHIRT - SOFT MATERIAL
Great shirts runs a touch large. Size 8 fits a bit large ...I could have worn a 6 (usually an 8) a hint longer than the other gingham crew shirts I have .. I'm 5'3 /5'4 ish ... but not a big issue . material is fantastic. SOOOOO light weight and cool on hot day, just great!
I do need to press the button hole area since it is a crinkle material ...the rest of the shirt looks great with slightly relaxed crinkles but the button area bugs a bit if not pressed, messy. looking.. again not a biggie. I have this shirt in yellow/ citron color as well. I say yep, get it , just careful of the size if you want it kinda fitted go a size down. Weekend looser hang out size .. order your reg / true size. Hope this is helpful to my crew friends:) H

Rated 4 out of 5 by Valentina Gapes at the chest
I ordered this shirt in the navy and the aqua colors, and I was disappointed that I had to return them because they both gape at the chest, and also the sleeves close to the shoulder area were too tight and the shoulders were uneven on both shirts...
fit is true to size, and both colors are very nice.

I have this shirt in navy and the purple or the orchid color. I am a size 12, but due to my broad shoulders and 36-C bust, have to buy a 14 in most J Crew sizing. That is my only "hold back" on sizing. I lift weights and run in the heat of summer and do not intend on stopping for sizing as long as the garment fits loose. The 14 has plenty of room to spare and I can knot it up in the front. I am not one who goes for a tight, form fitting shirt, it's just not me. I usually roll up the sleeves anyway unless it's under a blazer. Sleeves are long, but that's okay too. I had to pay full price, so that would be my only complaint.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Bella Just ok, wishing for the originial style
First of all, I have several of these shirts, in multiple colors, from multiple seasons, so I have plenty to compareit. The overall style is fun and it is versatile, worn with shorts, skirts, and pants. The disappointing part is that my favorite of the shirts is the one from 4 years ago. For reference I am 5'0 tall, slim, and a 32D chest. The first one I bought was the original boy gingham shirt in a size 0, and it fit perfectly, no gaping at the chest, perfect length in the sleeves and perfect overall length. I could wear it un-tucked and it fit perfectly. Now the one I just bought in the yellow, I had to buy a 00P, the material is not as soft, it's too long to wear un-tucked, and it gapes at the chest. I so wish JCrew would go back to the basics!! If JCrew is going to decrease the quality of their clothes, at least stop charging your customers so much for such poor quality and inconsistency.
