Rated 2 out of 5 by sariego Stretches too far and runs large
These pants have great colors and good quality however they are deceiving in size. At first you wear them and they feel great and look good but as you walk around they start stretching too much. You have to constantly keep tugging them up because they become uncomfortable. I am confused about how the sizes work. I have matchstick jeans and I am a 28 petite but in these I could have probably gone down to 26p and I am not sure they would have worked. Unfortunately I wore them and now I cannot return them but I would. I tried finding them in the nearest store but they did not have them so I could try smaller ones and not waste more money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fashionista50 great slim, NOT skinny cords
I was looking for slim cords for fall and winter and found just what I need. I was reluctant to try matchstick because while tall (5'8"), I have hips, thighs and a butt. The 28 was just right and the amount of stretch is perfect. I recommend this cut, even if you, like me, do not normally like skinny pants.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Batgirl Good basic cords, but definitely stretches
I own two other pair of J.Crew Matchstick pants and love the cut. I was excited to see a fall/winter variation in corduroy and liked the vermillion color. My other two pair are size 27, so I ordered the same in the cords. They definitely run larger than usual, so I'd advise ordering down a size. I'm hoping for a bit of shrinkage after the first wash. If you can get the size right, these are a good, go-to weekend pair of pants when you want something relaxed, but don't want to wear jeans.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Maxine Not like the old Matchstick - too short!
Disappointed that J. Crew has shortened the Matchstick line. 31" inseam on a regular length cord???? It looks silly. I tried to buy "Tall" length which is just 1" longer than the old regular length, but it's mostly sold out - which makes me think others are feeling the same way. It's easy for someone to shorten a hem, but not lengthen it, so bring back the 33" regular and 36" tall lengths please!

Rated 2 out of 5 by lucianne not good
Fabric felt flimsy. The waist was too loose and the rise was at an awkward height. Camel color was nice.
