Petite toothpick jean in black

Rated 5 out of 5 by Order two pair I love these black toothpick so much that I ordered a second pair before JC either changes the denim or something else. I love the fabric in this black tp because while it is stretchy it doesn't bag out, and so far my first pair is still jet black. I wash dark/black clothes in cold water (with a touch of vinegar to stabilize the dye and prevent fading) with Woolite Black soap. JC denim has been getting progressively thinner, weaker, with too much stretch. This fabric seems to be the right balance. I also love that the new Petite sizing is basically just shorter in length without also being cut smaller all over. It is much easier to know I am size ## without having to adjust for it being cut this or that. If you are size 28, petite is just shorter now. Easy. Actually, back to the old JC sizing when one could buy 28 Regular or Short or Tall. I wish they would do that for all other Petites as well. Anyway, these black jeans feel like true denim, only in black. May 16, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointed Since the end of last year JCrew toothpick jeans have been so disappointing. I've tried 3 different washes in the last few months and all have similar issues the ankles are too baggy with the waist fitting fine or sometimes too snug (I always buy regular29's) so I can't size down :[ I'm 5'4 so I decided to try their petite29's. The waist is two sizes too small, the legs fit fine but even with a shorter inseam the ankles stick out >:[ I will try exchanging for another P29 and see if my pair was mislabeled. I ordered the grey toothpick and the blue harborside as well. I'm currently exchanging the grey for a petite, I don't have high hopes on keeping it if this is what's going to happen and the harborside just came in Regular29 and again baggy ankles but fits perfect everywhere else...sigh... Rated 3 out of 5 by great fit but petite sizes still require sizing up I have multiple pairs of the toothpick jeans in size 26-regular. I love them because they don't stretch out after wearing only once or twice and they fit me really, really well. I wanted to order a pair in petite for when i want to show the ankle straps on sandals. I ordered a size 26-petite because the description says no need to size up. When they arrived, I was kinda disappointed because they are definitely smaller than my 26-regulars (I tried on my 26-regulars to compare, just to make sure). I could zip up the 26-petite, but it created a bit of muffin top. :/ I wish I had ordered both 26-petite and 27-petite to be able to try on both and compare, in hindsight. July 25, 2016
