Rated 4 out of 5 by ATLlawyer High-rise for women with hips and smaller waists
Other reviewers objected to the higher rise - I don't. I love it. I prefer my undies not to show when I sit.... But I do get the point that the crotch could look droopy if the wrong size - these do stretch a bit. But anyway - love the slight flare at the bottom, which means they fit over my athletic calves. I wear a 10 or 12 in J Crew bottoms and selected the 31. Waist could be nipped in a little but very wearable right out of the box. I love the J Crew Hutton style trouser and have found it impossible to find chinos that would fit in the bottom, waist and legs. These do. Only thing I'd change - eliminate the front pockets or sew them shut. They lay at a somewhat odd angle and can gap a little. I think I'll get them sewn shut... For now, waiting for a sale price in order to get a few more colors.

I love love love these pants! The fit is perfect. I'm 5' 5 135 lbs and my usual size 28 fit like the model. The waist sits right at my navel which a nice change from the low waisted pants. I'm not a chino girl but I will definitely be buying more of these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by AshleyGG Great chinos!
I don't think these pants are getting a fair shake. They are stylish and made well and come in all sorts of cute colors. I love the kicked hem. They do have a higher rise than some other chinos, but I didn't experience any dropped crotch. I do have a long torso and curves, so perhaps that is the difference. I got the Cabernet ones, and am looking forward to picking up other colors.

I've been a fan of JCrew chinos for years. The past two years the chinos have changed in fit/style. The Teddie's are adorable but the rise is too high. I loved the "kick" leg, but the rise was way to high. They're like an high rise Andie chino. So disappointed. I've been unable to buy chinos from JCrew for the past two seasons because the leg is too tight or the fit in the bum unflattering. You almost had me with this style but I look like an old lady in them. Please bring the Andie chino back or something similar to them. Still holding out hope for a comeback of the JCrew chino.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jenny Very comfortable, well-fitting pants
I just purchased these in the rose color, which is really pretty and great for the summer/early fall. They fit so well. I really like the rise; I did not worry about the waist being too big or my underwear showing, as I sometimes do with pants. I am 5'7" and 150 pounds, so I purchased the 29 because of my hips and thighs, not necessarily my waist. These were very comfortable. Nice and soft and roomy, but still appropriate for work. I am going to purchase another pair.
