Rated 1 out of 5 by lovejcrew thin, scratchy and stretches out
I am mystified why other reviewers give this sweater 4 or 5 stars. I have other cashmere sweaters that are thick and soft. This one is thin and scratchy. As a result, it easily stretches.
In the ivory color, whatever is worn underneath can be plainly seen.
It does not feel like 100% cashmere. The J Crew label, which used to say 100% cashmere, no longer says as much. It feels like a cheap blend.
The sleeves are too short for someone that is 5'7".
J Crew is no longer reliable for providing us with high quality cashmere sweaters. I am now buying elsewhere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hollylove Classic J. Crew
For me, this sweater exemplifies J. Crew at its best. This cashmere cable fits well (somewhat fitted, but not skin-tight) and is so classic. Except for the addition of the shoulder buttons, this sweater is basically identical to a favorite J. Crew cashmere cable I purchased in coral about eight years ago, and which I still wear. I'm definitely petite (4'11" ; 94 lbs.) but because I'm broad shouldered, I went with the XXS which is just right. This is actually a good sweater for petites, as it's not as long as most J. Crew sweaters tend to be. The sleeves were also the right length for me, which is unusual. I think on someone of average height or taller, the sleeves might almost be considered three-quarter length. The colors offered were all great, but I went with heather sagebrush and heather flax, both of which look as pictured on the website.

So soft....I can't wait for Minnesota winters (yes, I said it) to be able to wear this! I would say if you are between sizes like I am (either a small or a medium, depending on the cut and fit) I would size up in this. It was fitted but not too much so and will keep me warm all winter! I ordered the vivid flame and heather flax...both are just a pictured.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joanna Great quality, true cashmere
This is very classic and elegant piece. The quality is high, although this is rather light-airy knitting. Like the others wrote - indeed it runs small. If you have long arms you may get 3/4 sleeve, while for pettites it's just a regular one. Please note that the buttons must be used when putting on, since it sits quite tight around the neck. Thus if you do not like toying with buttoning/unbuttoning every time because of your fancy nails or other resaon... :) well, then get another sweater. Otherwise -a great buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Spaz Great fitting sweater!
Finally Jcrew has moved away from the super boxy and baggy and long sweaters from the past couple of years. This fits great! Love the buttons and of course you can't go wrong with cashmere. Hope Jcrew continues to watch how they cut things.
