I'm 5'8 and 130 pounds but this skirt makes me look like a hippo. Not flattering at all. I plan on returning.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JulesC Great style and versatile
I have always been a fan of J. Crew skirts mainly for the fit and style but also because they have pockets! This skirt is a great spring addition and I have worn it with a vintage cotton tank tucked in or a button-up w the sleeves rolled up. I receive compliments whenever I wear it and love how it can be dressed up or down. I am 5'2, size 00 and 105lbs it falls an inch above my knee I did not give the skirt 5 stars because the waist was a little loose and had it taken in. I prefer my skirts to be fitted in the waist and now this one is perfect ! The pleats do need to be ironed but otherwise I love this skirt.

The pleats are the problem. When the skirt arrived it was super wrinkly and the very thought of trying to iron it while maintaining the pleats made me return it right away. It was also sticking out rather oddly- seemed like half a yard of fabric too much was used. I like the pattern and it could have been a lovely easy skirt- shame.

This skirt did not fall well at all. The pleats stick out and it appears to be incredibly starchy. While this may go away with washing, I don't want to risk washing the skirt and ruining my ability to return it.
