I have never been able to wear the merino Tippi sweater because the regular size just doesn't fit right. I was very happy to see the new petite size offered in so many colors. I ordered the Baltic Blue (a very dark, slightly heathered teal) and the Warm Sepia (a lovely rust color). The sizing was good, although the sleeves are a bit on the tight side. I have noticed this frequently with J. Crew sweaters and blazers. I was, however, able to get the sweater over a dress shirt and it wasn't that uncomfortable since there is stretch. The sweater looks great under a blazer since it is lightweight. If you want the sweater to fit as seen on the model, order a size larger than normal. The description says the sweater hits at the hip, but it is a few inches below the hip on me (I am 5'1"). I tried on both colors with a nude bra and had no issues with the sweaters being see through. I definitely foresee ordering more colors!

Rated 3 out of 5 by complexity Tight arms in petite size!
I was excited to see a petite size in the Tippi since the regular size was always too long on me. The length is great, but I could not get my arms to fit in my normal xs petite size! Granted, I have a more athletic petite build, but this is ridiculous.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Kiki Bring back the previous Tippis!
I think customers (including myself) are having problems with their regular sizes because the Petite sizing has been introduced to the 2015 version of the Tippis. I used to wear the XXS in the previous versions without any problems whatsoever, but as a petite, I thought that I could get away with the PXXS. Bad idea! My scrawny noodle arms couldn't fit into this sweater (which rarely happens), so I ordered a REGULAR XS instead as I wanted a slightly longer length to wear with pants. Word of caution: this year's regular XS fits tighter than the previous XXS I purchased that have been shruken in the wash. I would suggest sizing up 1 or 2 sizes.
My 3 star rating however has nothing to do with the sizing, but with the neckline. I loved the previous boat necklines as it showed my collarbone and looked more feminine, and now it's just a plain crew neck. Also I miss the 3/4 sleeve, although the bracelet length does allow you to easily scrunch up the sleeve.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dani The other reviews were right about this sweater
I purchased the petite XS and S in parsley. Beautiful color, but the material was a lot thinner than I expected. The PXS was incredibly snug in the sleeves. I was afraid to move my arms for fear the sleeves would rip. The overall fit of the PS was too loose and baggy. I really wanted to love this sweater because olive green is my favorite color, but neither sweater fit well enough to justify the price. Unfortunately I'll be returning both. Next time I will give a lot more consideration to the other reviews on the site.

Rated 4 out of 5 by jcrewjunkie Good sweater, but room for improvement
I am squarely "petite" (5'3'', 113) and found the petite sizing in this sweater disappointing - if anything, this is vanity sizing in the wrong direction. I ordered a PS and found it relatively tight all around - fine for wearing under a pencil skirt but not long or loose enough to wear on its own over a pair of pants. I then tried the PM and while the sleeves were better, it was too bulky. I'm planning on trying the RS to see if the fit is better, but I'm pretty surprised that no petite size worked for me given my small frame. Also, the colors I ordered were not reflected well on the website - the neon blossom, which appears online to be a nice darker pink/peach color, is actually way more bright "neon" than I expected, and the emerald pool, which appears to be a nice darker shade of teal, is very much emerald - no blue at all. The quality is so-so - I can already see a bit of fuzz around the collar and wrists after a couple of wears. Overall, good sweater, but room for improvement.
