Rhodes blazer in Italian wool

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bring back the Schoolboy! I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of my new Rhodes blazer, but unfortunately was utterly disappointed upon trying it on. It cannot compare to the beloved Schoolboy! Please bring it back! The Rhodes somehow is smaller in cut, yet more bulky with extra fabric hanging about. Where the Schoolboy slims and is unabashedly classic, the Rhodes is a pale imitation in cut, fabric, and embellishments. The fabric and buttons do seem cheaper. I hope JCrew will listen to its loyal customers and bring back the Schoolboy in black and navy, and additional fabrics and colors too! August 27, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by What a bummer! After being told by a stylist that this jacket was a new version of my beloved Schoolboy, I had such high hopes for the Rhodes blazer. Instead what was shipped to me was NOTHING like my Schoolboys. The quality of the fabric felt cheap, the overall shape was very ill-fitting, and the buttons were so horrendous they looked like plastic. The only redeeming factor this blazer has is the color is a very pretty shade of red-orange. Nonetheless, it's immediately being sent back. August 19, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by I don't love it I went to my local store hoping to see this in Belgian Chocolate or Bright Cerise. They only had Navy. I didn't love it. The fabric was not soft-I had to check the tag to confirm it was 100% wool (it is). It does not have the softer feel of my wool schoolboys. Not necessarily a bad thing........but just not a schoolboy. Which I think is what a lot of people are going to be hoping for/comparing this to. The buttons were not good. They looked plasticky. Maybe that would be less noticible on another color. I thought the garment was true to size, and actually liked the fit. I'd consider purchasing it on super sale. August 21, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by I wanted to love it but.... I was really excited about this blazer but when it arrived, I boxed it back up and sent it back the next day. I did not feel that the product warranted the price point. Though the wool is such that it would be fine to wear year-round, it doesn't feel like wool, more like a heavy cotton knit. The craftmanship was fine, though I didn't love the buttons, but the piece was not as high-end appearing (or feeling) as I had hoped. Still in search of the perfect wool camel blazer. Sigh.... Rated 5 out of 5 by Rhodes Navy Blazer Love this blazer! I thought long and hard before purchasing it since it was brand new on the racks and not on sale yet. I decided to shop other stores in search of a more affordable navy blazer. I found lots of cheaper navy blazers that left me cold after seeing the quality of this one. I like the longer length. It is slimming and somehow makes me look taller. The fabric is wonderful and resistant to wrinkling which is great because I travel a lot. I love how you can roll up the sleeves (I'm surprised they don't show it that way as an option because it's quite attractive). The lining is white with dark pin stripes and it looks great rolled up. When you unroll it, it's not wrinkled. Looks great either way. Very versatile, must have staple. August 24, 2015
