Relaxed popover shirt in end-on-end cotton

Rated 2 out of 5 by Wanted to love this shirt Why, oh why, can't anyone make a short-sleeved (not sleeveless) white cotton top that isn't see through? I don't want to be forced to wear a tank underneath. It's not just J. Crew. I've looked and looked. Maybe see through is stylish, but not to me. I actually ordered two sizes of this shirt...one in my regular size and one in a size smaller because of the word "relaxed" in the description. My usual size fit well, and I liked the length. The neck didn't work, though. I thought I looked like I was wearing a nurse's scrub top. Too bad. My search for the perfect white shirt continues. August 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by A perfect fit. I have a hard time finding a white cotton shirt that I love. The neckline makes this more feminine, and the style looked surprisingly flattering on me. While I'm usually between a size 4 and 6, I sized up to a 6 based on previous reviewers' sizing remarks. It fit perfectly in the shoulders, giving it a structured look, and the drape was just right. I could get away without wearing a camisole under this (as long as I wore a nude bra) because the swing/drape of the shirt isn't too fitted, and therefore not too revealing. I'm going to stock up on these shirts as I've never found one so flattering on my frame! For reference, I'm 5'6", 140 pounds. August 19, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by love it, but runs small Love the cut, but it runs small. I'm usually a 0 or 2. The 2 JUST fits in the shoulders. If I raise my hand or reach up, my midriff shows. I know it's supposed to be a boxier, cropped cut. But I'm worried that it will shrink more if I wash it. Will exchange this one for a 4 to give myself slightly more room to maneuver. I think If I wanted it to look as draped as the model in the picture, I might even go up to a 6! Since this shirt is only available on-line, I would recommend buying two sizes with the intent of returning one. I agree with many reviewers that JCrew's sizing is all over the place. I have both shirts and pants that range from from P0 to regular 4. For those concerned with the sheerness of the white, which has also been a problem with JCrew items, this one is JUST over the borderline of not having to wear a camisole underneath. August 13, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Too short I bought this top to replace an older white popover that's seen better days. The top fit well in the shoulders and bust, but was way too short! Even wearing a high-waisted pair of jeans, I couldn't really move without showing my stomach. I'm not super tall (5'7") but have a long torso, so would probably work better for someone more petite. Sadly have to return. Please make this exact top but 3 inches longer! September 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Haven't worn it yet. Nice cotton shirt, practical. Will look great with my jeans. So far I have not worn it because I have been wearing my t's. September 1, 2016
