I was really drawn to this popover and I'm glad that it didn't disappoint! It's really thin, much thinner than other J Crew button downs or popovers that I have - however, I don't mind it because it's SO hot in the south late into the year! I appreciate having a top that looks very "fall" but I won't die of a heat stroke in. Plus, once the weather gets colder it will be a great layering piece under a sweater without being bulky. Fits true to size and the gathering at the wrists is a nice touch. Colors are nice and rich too. Highly recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by LeisureLady Nice lightweight fabric but runs large
I ordered my usual size 8 in this top (sometimes take a 10) but this size 8 was just too big all over. Looked way too 'blousy' because of the gathering across the back yoke. For me there was just too much extra room. I plan to reorder a size 6 since the fabric is very soft and the green/navy check is versatile. I seldom take a size 6 in J Crew tops but this was an exception.

I ordered this shirt in the mail, knowing that JCrew popovers are timeless and high-quality. It was even better than I expected! I was a little nervous about the gathered sleeves, and worried the shirt would look too billowy and shapeless. However, the gathering is a subtle detail that makes the shirt a little more elegant. Overall great quality and perfect for hot weather too--it's lightweight and crisp. Will be buying more!!

I purchased a size 6 in blue. this is more flattering on me than the boy shirt
I plan on putting this with the pink rhodes blazer, vests and so much more!
for reference I am a size 8 in jcrew sheath dresses, size 6 in popover tops , size 4 in rhodes blazer and 6 in pixie pants. I am 147 lbs, 5 ft 9 in, 34 in bust.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cat1 Better fit than the earlier version
I tried the light pink gingham version of this top a few months ago, and sadly returned it because the volume was too much for me. In this iteration, it's not excessively voluminous -- just blousy enough.
For size reference, I'm a 34C and took a 6 (I was very near to a 4, but the button at bust level was tugging slightly). I typically take an 8 in the Perfect Shirt, and 4 in the silk shells.
