Rated 4 out of 5 by alix cute and sexy top. not too fitted in the torso!
I'm a size 16-18 with a DD chest. I'm usually limited to plus size bathing suits, but I find that those focus too much on sucking you in, and not enough on just being stylish. I took a chance on this top because I wasn't sure if it would hold me up enough, but I really love it. It has a little bit of padding which I don't really need, but it looks good. I find the top looks better in the halter style because it keeps my chest more secure. The body part of the swim top isn't skin tight... it has a little bit of hang to it which I like! I recommend this tankini top for plus size girls who just want a cute tankini top without all the built-in "spanx"!

I was thrilled to see that J Crew started offering swimwear in DD sizes. I'm a size 6, small through the ribcage but with a large cup size so finding swimwear that fits can be a headache. This tankini top is well constructed, support is via the underwire but also a band around the back of the top. I felt well-supported. The top flowed nicely, it's not tight to the body and skims down to the hip. Very flattering.

Rated 1 out of 5 by dmiller This is NOT a DD cup
Whatever the labeling, this top is absolutely not a DD-cup. I wouldn't even consider it a D. I have found that J Crew swim tops typically run small, but this was unreasonably small given that it's meant to accommodate a DD size.

Finally DD cup top that fits and is stylish. Top doesn't hug the body, so if you don't have a perfectly flat stomach, but aren't large enough to need a miracle suit, it's the perfect solution.

I am looking for a tankini top that is fitted, not loose.
This is loose and boxy while I have a beautiful waistline that I would like to flatter.
If you're looking to hide your shape, get this. If you want to show off your shape, do not get this.
Why is it *so* difficult to get tankini tops that are not loose? I know many women in my age group (60) who don't want to wear a 1 piece and who have a good silhouette and body tone, but the skin does not *look* beautiful enough to want to bare it. Who makes tankinis for us?
