Doesn’t stack up to the old Pima J Crew Oxford
April 29, 2022I have owned several J Crew oxfords and have loved them. I recently purchased 2 of these broken in oxfords and have to say I was quite disappointed with the quality of the shirts compared to previous versions of the classic J Crew Oxford (particularly the old Pima cotton ones). The fabric feels much thinner and lower quality. The white Oxford in particular feels stiff and won’t soften (like a good Oxford should). The fit is much slimmer, too, particularly through the shoulders. One of the few purchases from J Crew that I have regretted, unfortunately.

Great fit, feel, and pattern

Thin material and very slim cut
December 19, 2021I own numerous j crew oxfords. This is my first one that is after the “pima” oxford of the past few years. It is made of thinner material and cut even slimmer than recent offerings. This is a disappointing step towards fast fashion. OCBD shoppers will pay for quality, but this shirt belongs at mercantile.

Stylish & crisp
December 2, 2021Definitely a fan of this oxford, the fabric is crisp, and the pattern feels unique and looks hand-dyed, which is a nice touch. The fit is also nice, thought it does wrinkle quite easily. Overall I like that it stands out and has a solid construction.
