Camden kiltie tassel loafers with rubber soles
the style came into popularity in the 1950s as a dressier take on the traditional penny loafer. The fringed piece of leather protected the shoe from dirt and debris—and in some cases, it kept the shoe's laces from catching. Our version is made with premium leather uppers and smooth leather linings. With a durable rubber outsole, these loafers are suitable for wearing every day.

The Platonic ideal of a loafer
2 days agoThe title says it all! I love a kiltie tassel loafer--it's what my grandpa wore, it's what my dad wore, it works for me, too. This J.Crew loafer has a perfect amount of shine. This shoe will easily dress up or down. I'm wearing at work today with white socks, jeans, and a sweater, but it'll look perfect with Ludlow suit. Size up, if you're unsure. I usually wear 11s and 11.5s, I went with the 11.5 here and the fit is perfectly snug. A 12 would have been too much (I tried 12s on and my heel lifted with most steps). There is maybe 1/2 a finger's space behind my heel. It *is* a bit firm/stiff at first, but I'm sure it will break in well over time. Even after one day's worth of wear, it has gotten more comfortable.
