Classic-fit oxford cotton shirt in stripe

One reviewer said she wasn’t expecting thicker cotton, but the description says it’s Oxford cotton which, by definition, is a type of thicker cotton fabric. I understand that not everyone knows that. I bought this shirt in all three colors they’re selling- blue, white and this striped one. These will never go out of style, they can be worn year round and I will never tire of them. They are TTS.

Last year I purchased classic fit button downs in size 0 but this year I purchased size 2 in the Classic-fit oxford cotton shirt in stripe (this shirt), the Classic-fit shirt in seersucker and the Classic-fit oxford cotton shirt. I tried on but didn't keep size 0 because the body is still loose fitting while the sleeves are too short (although the fit is just right at the shoulders). The fabric is more substantial but it's not the thicker feel that comes to mind when I think of oxford cloth. I'm 5'7", 32c short-waist, 130 lbs but out of shape :(

I love this classic shirt! I’m always a size O in shirts and I’m thankful for the previous reviews that said it ran a size large. I ordered the 00 and it fit perfectly! I like that I can wear it to work or dress it down with shorts and the sleeves rolled up, always in style!

I was so happy with the quality, style and fit of this shirt that I bought a second one. The oxford cotton is really nice, the fit is TTS and it is flattering on. It looks especially nice with jeans. Maybe not great on hot days but it’s a great shirt and not scratchy at all....Thanks J Crew!

This is a great oxford cloth shirt! The fabric is classic oxford cloth - definitely thicker and coarser than the typical JCrew poplin for example. The pinstripes are classic. The shirt is well made and durable. The fit is good and pretty traditional. Long enough in the torso (not a "crop top" like so many other J Crew shirts). A few small problems though. Cut too wide in the body, at least in smaller sizes, which ironically restricts movement, because the hanging fabric it makes it more difficult to raise your arms. The side slits come up too high, which is an awkward look, and causes a "peekaboo" effect and shows bare torso when I raise my arms. Overall though, it's a cute and versatile shirt, with a nice drape despite the width, and the shoulders have a particularly good fit. For fit reference, I am 5'4", 115 pounds, athletic non-curvy build, wide shoulders, long torso, and always take Size 4 or Small in J Crew tops.

Perfect fit and so comfy. Wish it came in more colors and patterns
