Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great transition from summer to fall Super comfortable and oh so flattering! Love that these are unlined, as it allows for a beautiful drape of the fabric. Fits true to JCrew sizing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LOOOOVE THESE PANTS These pants are so fun and so comfortable. I have worn them with heeled ankle boots to dinner. I've worn them to work with oxfords. the fabric is beautiful with great drape. I adore the means wear glen plaid pattern with the cobalt blue accent line. This was a fantastic purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful But Not Lined Fell in love with these when I saw them in the catalog, ordered them right away. I received the pants today and was very disappointed to discover they are NOT lined. The material is scratchy, and not heavy enough so the pants don't fall right or stay in place, the legs flare out as on the model. For the price J Crew is charging these pants should be lined. They look more like culottes than cropped pants Because the fabric is lightweight you will only be able to wear them during early fall. Wear these pants this winter and your hinny is going to freeze. Why are retailers cutting corners and still charging the same prices as though the pants are lined? I can remember a time when J Crew would never have dreamed of selling a pair of fall or winter slacks without a lining, cropped or otherwise.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost.... I wanted so badly to love these- the fabric is gorgeous, the length flirty and fun, idea of them lovely. But that was it--- the inverted pleat just adds to the volume of the leg, the price does not warrant alterations in the volume of the leg. I wished they could be cut like the Billie boot crop with a single pleat. I loved that the pants had movement but I was swimming in these. Also my normal size was tight in the waist and the next size up just didn't cut it for me. As much as I hated to, these were a return for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for Petites I was extremely excited about these pants, and raced to the store to try them on. They are indeed unlined, but the plaid is beautiful and the wide-leg is on trend. Unfortunately, I was swimming in my usual size 0 (5'2", 108 lbs, 32A; I am not a small-boned petite, rather I have an average frame, but short). By swimming, I mean that the pants are not only long even in 4" heels (I brought them along), but the sheer volume of material in the wide leg. I was incredibly sad that the pants looked more like a skirt--and a dowdy one at that because it was too long to be a midi--and made me look even shorter. I think, however, that if one is taller, the pants would look fabulous on, but if you're petite, not at all.
