A Linen Equestrian Jacket
What: The British outerwear classic gets an update, courtesy of Barbour®.
The Story: Since 1894, the craftsmen at Barbour have waged battle against the elements. Their rugged and iconic waxed jackets are still made in Simonside, on the blustery northeast coast of England, and are famous for their weather-fighting finish. But what about a jacket fit for sunnier days on the shore? Enter the Seadale. An update to one of the brand’s most famous silhouettes, the classic Bedale riding jacket, the Seadale skips Barbour’s signature waxed cotton in favor of durable, breathable linen. The result is a jacket that has all the right details, including a corduroy collar and bellows pockets, without the weight (and unlike waxed cotton, this one can be machine washed).
