Petite Tippi sweater

Petite Tippi sweater is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommend For reference, I am 5'2", weigh 106lbs, and wear a 34C. I purchased my usual size Petite Medium and it's a perfect fit. I have 4 of these in different colors and even though I was hesitant to order it because it's wool, it's Merino Wool which makes a big difference because it is very soft. I can wear them into the spring especially since the office is so cold. Getting it on sale was a definite plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Size up Petite Tippi runs small I love Tippi and own several. I love the Neon Watermelon color. Just the perfect pop of color for those grey fall days. It it slightly small. I usually wear a Petite Small in Jcrew sweaters but had to exchange for a Petire Medium. For reference I'm 5'2, 108#, 34 chest. It has quite a bit of warm and comfy versatility. I wear mine mostly with slim ankle pants but I could see wearing it with skirts or jeans.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Regular vs Petite I have this sweater in a Regular S. Post pregnancy, I purchased a Petite L and they are the exact same size, even in terms of sleeve length. Both are about 3/4 sleeves. I really love this sweater so I'm going to experiment with a Regular M vs a Petite XL to see which fits better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good sweater, but room for improvement I am squarely "petite" (5'3'', 113) and found the petite sizing in this sweater disappointing - if anything, this is vanity sizing in the wrong direction. I ordered a PS and found it relatively tight all around - fine for wearing under a pencil skirt but not long or loose enough to wear on its own over a pair of pants. I then tried the PM and while the sleeves were better, it was too bulky. I'm planning on trying the RS to see if the fit is better, but I'm pretty surprised that no petite size worked for me given my small frame. Also, the colors I ordered were not reflected well on the website - the neon blossom, which appears online to be a nice darker pink/peach color, is actually way more bright "neon" than I expected, and the emerald pool, which appears to be a nice darker shade of teal, is very much emerald - no blue at all. The quality is so-so - I can already see a bit of fuzz around the collar and wrists after a couple of wears. Overall, good sweater, but room for improvement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Transitional Piece I have never been able to wear the merino Tippi sweater because the regular size just doesn't fit right. I was very happy to see the new petite size offered in so many colors. I ordered the Baltic Blue (a very dark, slightly heathered teal) and the Warm Sepia (a lovely rust color). The sizing was good, although the sleeves are a bit on the tight side. I have noticed this frequently with J. Crew sweaters and blazers. I was, however, able to get the sweater over a dress shirt and it wasn't that uncomfortable since there is stretch. The sweater looks great under a blazer since it is lightweight. If you want the sweater to fit as seen on the model, order a size larger than normal. The description says the sweater hits at the hip, but it is a few inches below the hip on me (I am 5'1"). I tried on both colors with a nude bra and had no issues with the sweaters being see through. I definitely foresee ordering more colors!
