Petite matchstick jean in classic rinse

Petite matchstick jean in classic rinse is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Order two sizes smaller than you normally would! I originally ordered size 29R because the helpful sales associate told me the hip measurement of the pants was 37". I'm 5'-4", 120 lbs. and have a 37 1/2" hip. They were way too big so I tried a 28 and 27 petite before settling on the 26P. I own matchsticks from a few years ago in size 28. I'd recommend not going by the hip measurement of the pants but by JCrew's regular sizing chart and order two sizes down! Worth the wait since these petite pants are a beautiful color and have the 28" length that's hard to find.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from my favorite fit, running a bit big this year I've owned at least 6 pairs of matchsticks over the years and they seem to change the denim every year- this year it's stretchy, but not too much so. (Though, my preference would be for even less stretch) I like that they are not a thin denim, it's more flattering. This is the first year I've worn a 27 (always been a 28S), though I've not changed sizes, so if you're used to a certain size, I would say size down this year. Another change I noticed, which I think is positive, the leg opening seems slightly smaller. Definitely not a skinny but not as straight-straight as before. I would call it slim-straight. I have a boyish figure, and am now in my mid 40s (which doesn't feel as old as it sounds, haha) -I've tried the other styles, but always come back to matchstick.
