Marie Marot X J.Crew shirt in Thomas Mason^® cotton poplin

Love this shirt. Would have liked the. I would have like the collar. to be a little larger. The sizing is a little large but I prefer this style. Light fabric that doesn’t wrinkle too much. Love it.

The reviews once again caused pause for concern. I’m late ordering this as a result (the purple & blue version). The shirt is nice. Quality is there. For some the cotton might be on the thinner side. I personally prefer that. Colors are beautiful. The white collar/sleeve details and designer signature all set this shirt apart from others. One thing I appreciate about JCrew are the interesting details. Classics with a twist. If you are a plain Jane kind of person then JCrew just might not be for you. I like the shirt so much I’m ordering the yellow and the coordinating bralettes since they are still in stock in my size. I purchased my typical size 6/small and the fit was not boxy. For reference I am 5’6”, ~140lbs, 36C, long arms, shorter torso and longer legs, evenly proportioned. I recommend this shirt.

For a standard cotton striped shirt. Poplin is nothing special, fit is too boxy and unflattering. List price is about $200 higher than it should be. No idea why it should be that much more for an unflattering shirt just to get stripes that aren’t exactly the same boring medium blue or black they have every single year. Don’t bother.
