Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely for winter To the dislike of others, I loved that this coat runs big because it actually fits me great. I've lusted over many colorful JCrew coats but they never fit. I got the rose in the 16, but really could have gotten a 14. I like I can wear my thickest sweaters under it. Since it's boxy, it's more of a casual coat. With the sale, I'm getting the blue too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adorable I don't understand the poor reviews, but I think it comes down to not everything is going to fit everyone well given different body types. I love this and it fits me very well. I take a size 12 and wear a 36D, so maybe it is more flattering on hourglass figures? I like that I can wear it to wear with a sweater and blouse and not feel constrained while I am driving. I am 5'5" and it hits just an inch below my pant waist and I wear mid rise in general. I find it to be very flattering with a pencil skirt or classic trousers. I got the bright blue and it really pops! I get so many compliments it is crazy. It also looks great with my Lookout jeans. Would love in the pink if it comes back around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love the cropped coat I have them in blue, tan and rose..thats how much I love it !!.Very well made, great quality ,warm.I wear size 4 in coats as I need to wear a sweator under, and this fits perfect.Looks stylish with jeans ,hits a little below the waist ,sleeves come up to the wrist.I am 5'3 and 120 lbs.All in all I am happy with my purchase, although pricey, got them on sale.I recommend this coat. Its roomy for layering over a sweator and may look big because of raglan sleeves.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I was expecting I purchased the pink/rose in size 12 which is my usual size for coats. I understand this is supposed to have a boxy cut, but the fit didn't work for me at all. It just looked frumpy and shapeless on me. The raglan sleeves didn't help as they didn't offer any structure, and they were a bit too long. I wasn't impressed with the fabric either. I had expected the fabric to be softer, but it's sort of thinner and stiffer. All in all, it didn't work for me. On the other hand, I also purchased the 'Short double-breasted coat in double-cloth wool' and that was so much better: fit, cut, fabric - all better.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Problem with the cut I order the coat in Pink, the color is cute and the quality is good also. The problem is the fit, very large and boxy, like in the description of the product. I am 5’2, 125 lbs, 34A and I have a small waist, I did order a 0, looked like a 4. I could reorder the 000, and I am sure it would fit. I have never been smaller than a 00 in J.Crew clothing. I am returning the coat.
