Rated 4 out of 5 by from Long-waisted women, rejoice! These pants are a welcome return to tailored pieces that fit at your waist and actually flatter the female form. I am so sick of seeing low rise pants that create muffin tops on skinny women. Though an avid J. Crew shopper, I have never once bought J. Crew pants because they seem to all be made for short-waisted ladies. These pants are a welcome entry for the long-waisted. They are over-priced, but if they become a staple year after year like the Minnie so help me I will buy them in every color and every fabric.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from high marks for style but quality poor I bought a pair of these in black and loved the fit, with the high waist and slum leg. Wore them once and when I was hanging them up noticed I could see light coming through the center seam of the seat. It was already coming apart. (I didn't put undue strain on it either). Was going to order another pair in navy but have changed my mind. By the time I wore them it had been more than 30 days since purchase so can't return the black ones, either.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Finally, trousers for the style conscious Not necessarily the fashion conscious. I was extremely disappointed with JCrew's work wear selection but these pants hit the mark. Literally, they actually sit near the waist which was unheard of for the past 8 years or so. I will be wearing these to work and and even on weekends. The rise is perfect and they don't slouch down at the end of the day. The previous reviewer who said the fabric felt 'totally synthetic' has no idea what fine wool feels like. The fabric is smooth and drapes beautifully. My biggest problem with all J Crew trousers and these are no exception is the fact that none of them are lined, which is why I didn't rate it higher in the quality department. I am looking forward to this pant/waist style with a slimmer leg.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bring back lined pants I agree with other reviewers -- unlined pants do not look or wear well. The lining is there for important reasons: to make the fabric lie smoothly, to conceal underwear, and to take a strain off the primary outer fabric. Without a lining, there is more wrinkling, bumpiness and stressed seams. That looks cheap even if the price is high!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Fabric The style of this pants are great but the fabric felt cheap and flimsy. Very thin fabric and JCrew should consider lining their pants, especially if you are going to charge this much money for them. I bought them on sale but returned them because they aren't worth half what they cost. JCrew's quality is so erratic now.
