You asked, we listened: We kept hearing that our cashmere was pilling too easily (because we wanted it supersoft, it was knit more loosely), so we decided to make a change... This new style has been knit more tightly, so it should pill less. The tradeoff is that it might not feel as soft at first, but just give it time. P.S. Hand-washing your cashmere is the way to go, just trust us on that.

  • Italian cashmere in a 12-gauge knit.
  • Rib trim at neck, rolled edge at cuffs and hem.
  • Hand wash.
  • We recommend folding (never hanging) and storing in tissue paper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful shot of color! I bought this cashmere tee to wear with navy, and it doesn't disappoint. The tee is a little bit too long for me (because I'm only 5'tall), but I wear it with a skinny belt & absolutely love it. I think this is the only hot pink piece of clothing in my it's a fun addition. One comment: Some people complain that the quality of J.Crew cashmere isn't as good as in previous years. When my top arrived, I thought the same thing; it felt a little stiff. But I decided to try hand washing it first before sending it back, and it came out SO soft, like butter. Great quality cashmere.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SS Cashmere Tee for Ladies I am obsessed with the byzantine blue (it is more of a vivid purple). I adore vibrant colors such as jeweled-toned purples, greens and blues. The quality of the cashmere is splendid; it is thick, soft and fluffy. My only wish would be for a slightly longer short sleeve, just two or so inches more (because I'm middle-aged). Otherwise, c'est magnifique!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from easy to wear! Love this sweater - cute sleeve and over all length. Nice weight and no pilling so far! Easy to wear with pants and skirts. Would love it even more if it came with the same flattering short sleeves but in a Boat Neck style. J Crew - how about that for next Fall/Winter?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It is cashmere.. Unlike the last reviewer, those who actually know cashmere, understand the finest cashmere is the softest and therefore the most sought after. The first shearing of the underbelly is the most expensive. It doesn't by any means undercut the quality of the garment, but you're definitely not getting that first shearing with these sweaters. Just like human hair, once cut, it grows back coarse and blunt. That is what you feel here, not cheap wool. And per the last review, anything over a 140 will definitely feel softer with time, because the hairs relax over time and become weak -therefore cashmere doesn't last a long time and can look silky and dingy once the hair relaxes. It is still a great buy in my opinion, but don't confuse this for anything like a 3-time sheared sheep...this is cashmere.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not like the Summer versions I have more than 40 JCrew cashmere sweaters, and about 6 of this particular version (short-sleeve mid-weight) including the light pink and flame from earlier in 2016. Ordered the burgundy in Oct 2016. It is NOT anywhere near as soft or supple as any of the other versions. Really irritating. I am returning and will just buy some jersey tops in similar colors from other retailers instead.
