'47 X J.Crew brushed wool Boston College sweater
that pays homage to vintage campus style. Twin brothers Henry and Arthur D'Angelo arrived in the United States from Italy in 1947 and got their start selling sports memorabilia outside Fenway Park. More than 75 years later, '47 is known for its attention to detail and family-first mentality. Our limited-edition collab features chain-stitched lettering on our soft brushed wool sweaters. Inspired by classic Shetland sweaters, this 100 percent wool crewneck is brushed for softness and the textured, "hairy" appearance it's known for. Though this type of sweater has been around for centuries, it gained popularity with college students in the midcentury and became a staple of Ivy style. Whether you wear it with chinos, denim or a suit, it's always the right choice. Please note that the sizes listed are men's. 1 day agoI love the idea of this sweater, however at this price point I would expect the quality to be much better. During my first wear of this sweater it started pilling which was very disappointing.

6 days agoI still have not received the package. Tracking indicates it was delivered (to our UPS store location/box) several weeks ago but to date, it has not arrived.

Boston Collge sweatshirt...but it's a sweater!
2 weeks agoAs others have mentioned, the price is a bit high for this type of sweater. But where else are you going to find something like this? And the fact that BC was one of the few schools chosen almost made me HAVE to get it. I love the old school look and vibe, and the quality is high. I spent most of my college years garbed in J Crew, so this just seems full circle. Go Eagles!

Premium School Spirit
September 29, 2025When you're several years out of college, it's time to trade in that hoodie for something more adult for football season. This piece is exactly that. The 100% wool construction is great; it's properly warm and feels substantive. Don't confuse it for a fleece sweatshirt: if you find wool itchy, you'll need to layer it over a shirt. The letters are stitched on with excellent needlework and no dangling threads. The fit is true-to-size, not baggier like a rollneck.
