This 100 percent cotton selvedge denim comes from the renowned Nihon Menpu mill in Japan, which, when it comes to authenticity, is as good as it gets. This esteemed mill's experienced artisans weave denim on vintage looms, so the resulting fabric is the kind your grandfather would have picked up way back in the day. "Selvedge" refers to the self-finished edge of a piece of fabric, a tightly woven band that keeps the hem from unraveling and fraying. Flip the cuffs to see the selvedge line, a sign of denim that's built to last. The vintage-inspired classic jean represents the platonic ideal of denim, based on an archival fit from the 1950s that's still going strong. With a slightly longer rise and a true, straight leg, this is a wardrobe staple for everyone.

1 week agoGreat Selvedge Jean for a good price. This is probably one of the better Japanese Selvedge denim pieces you can get for the money on the market. These are not raw-denim which I actually appreciate because I wash my jeans occasionally.
