Product Details

The beauty of this cute cocktail dress lies in the details: it's made from a lightweight silk chiffon that drapes beautifully and takes colors and prints particularly well. The strapless bodice has fine gathers that radiate from the center for a flattering effect and the flowy, shorter skirt lets you show off your legs. The best part: Bridesmaids aren't the only ones who can wear it—in fact, you don't even need a wedding invite.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from cute & classic - hard to fit! The bride specified a color from JCrew's short chiffon line and left specific styles up to us. My gut told me that Marbella's lack of restrictive straps would mean the easiest fit, while the wide waistband would be the most flattering for my body. Still, I tried Marbella, Nadia, and Kylie. I'm sticking with Marbella. Read on for size. I'm 5'4" 135lb 35/28/37.5. JCrew's charts place me between sizes 4 and 6, so I tried both. I swam in 6; 4 could have worked with a heavily padded push-up bra and/or tricky alterations. Size 2 fits ALMOST perfectly. Nothing pinches. I still have room for a fuller bra, but I'm not worried about the dress twisting around or slipping down. I have a little extra room at the bottom of the waist band, and right now that gaps forward in profile; I'm hoping that, after steaming the shipping wrinkles out, it'll fall more evenly. Anyway, I have room for an extra helping of cake.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful and Fun This dress is fun. It fits really well at the size I would always order. The boning is really nice, allowing a comfortable fit. However, the cut is a bit difficult. The neckline is low. If you have a larger chest, this causes everything to be pushed upwards. While it technically fits, it may not be the most flattering of fits because of this. Because of the cut, a larger size would likely not help with this. It's worth a try, though, if you really like this dress because it is beautiful. I may, however, look for a different style.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute, simple dress I wore this dress for a wedding on 7/18. I was 8 months pregnant at the time and the dress was very forgiving. It is a cute, simple dress that I could possibly wear again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bust too large, fine everywhere else My bridesmaid orders were "short, chiffon, misty rose". I ordered multiple sizes and styles from the website, and the strapless was the most flattering. Bust was entirely too big, but I am guessing it might just be an intended thing for bridesmaid dresses. Just be ready to alter. It is not ready to wear out of the box. Quality is fantastic. Beautiful material. Style is not great for those with less than perfect legs. Knee length a little awkward.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice fabric, large on top I ordered an 8 (5'6"/ 150 pounds / 38" bust) because an older J.Crew silk chiffon dress I own is a 10 and just slightly loose. I would have to get the bust taken in over an inch and the waist at least 1/2" to make this fit- planning on returning for a 6. That said, the construction is great, and even being too large the boning made the top stay up. The dress was packaged well and came out wrinkle free. Bright Coral is more of a warm dusty medium pink than a coral, but it's not a bad color.
