Product Details

Because being pregnant in the summer is challenging enough, we took your favorite shorts and tailored them with a discreet elastic panel at each hip, so they're perfect for moms-to-be (and now you can be both cute and comfortable). We also updated the design by swapping out the front zip closure for a faux-button one, so they won't dig into your belly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Maternity Shorts These shorts were great. It's been so hot and I desperately wanted a cute pair of shorts that did not have the full belly panel. I wasn't sure about sizing when I ordered so ordered a 28 instead of my usual 27. I could've stayed with size 27 as they seem to run true to pre-pregnancy sizes. The length is a bit long for me but that has more to do with my petite frame. I just rolled the hem one additional time and they are perfect!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Recommend one size up the style of these shorts is "refined relaxed summer" so I recommend taking your regular pre-baby size and going up one size if you intend to wear these through to the third trimester. They're pricey yet their quality is reflected in the price. Also will come in handy when you're back to looking like you're 5 months pregnant post baby delivery (how we always forget that we don't bounce right back to size after the baby is born). You would probably not wear these shorts once you have your pre-baby body back. The biggest negative is that they don't have front pockets.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not comfortable for maternity wear The shorts were way too small and tight. The general rule of ordering your pre pregnancy size would not apply to these shorts at all. I was missing a zip or button fly. There neeeded to be more stretch for a pull on style. I still have not worn them but could not return because they were a final sale. Not worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm living in these shorts! These shorts have gotten me through my pregnant summer! I started wearing them in May (4 months), when other clothes were still fitting but just not comfortable, and I'm still wearing them at the end of August (7 months). Although I have other shorts, these are the only pair that I really wear. They are true to size, but that's assuming you don't gain much in your hips/thighs. They are a little snugger at first, but stretch out comfortably and fit great, even with a giant tummy. I missed the zipper front and pockets at first, but now, with frequent trips to the ladies', I couldn't be happier about the pull-on style! Thank you J. Crew for making a great maternity short! (Why are you not making maternity dresses?!?)
