Our customer-favorite parka with a swingy, A-line shape, now in a windowpane check pattern that was first popularized by the Duke of Windsor in the 1930s. Our favorite detail? Removable faux-fur trim on the hood, which makes you look (and feel) extra chic when you're trudging along.

Chateau parka in windowpane check

Chateau parka in windowpane check is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Coat This coat is absolutely adorable. The quality and fit is perfect and true to size. The length is even better then expected. The coat is longer then the model on the website so your dresses will not show thru at the bottom. The coloring is a great holiday coat. I am 5'5" and weigh 107 and the size 4 fit was excellent. This was really great find at J. Crew.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality To start: I usually love jcrew coats. Beautiful styles and colours and materials. I have about 15 in my closet as proof, including a 17 year old lady day coat that I still wear. This is my second chateau parka. I bought the royal blue last year and loved it. The material is heavy, yet soft and warm. This one? Not so much. The material is thin and itchy. Not even close to jcrew standards. I kept it because it was on sale, and I needed a looser fitting coat in a hurry, but it is not a keeper. It will likely go to the consignment shop next fall so someone else can scratch their way through the day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adorable This is my second Chateau Parka - fit is the same as the solid version. I'm about 5'5, 125 lbs and I sized down to a 0. The size 2 also worked but I don't plan to layer under it and so didn't need the extra room. The other reason the size 0 worked for me is because this is an ideal coat for pear shapes; it has an A-line cut. My hips would never let me get into a size 0 with a straighter cut. I just love the cream window pane on the tomato red - very stylish. The faux fur on the hood is perfect. The Chateau Parka is a bit more casual than I typically like but it is a great weekend coat. It will be great with jeans or leggings and Sperrys. I'll stick with my Lady Day coats for work days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My New Go-To I love this coat. It is incredibly well made and the style is excellent. It's very warm, the hood is nice and deep and the faux fur on the edges is very soft. This is a high quality coat well worth the price. Excellent purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plaid perfect The zippy red color of this parka attracted my attention. Crew so seldom does red, and if it does it is usually more orange in nature. This is a true red with a cream windowpane that adds interest without conflict. It is surprisingly warm in the wind and cold without making me sweat! I know this is a keeper as every time I wear it someone says"oh------that's a really cute coat-------" I am conflicted about sharing the source, as how many red riding hoods do I want see?????
