Decided to pull the trigger on these beautifully crafted shoes on the whim. Reading about the craftsmanship of and the storied tradition of cordovan no. 8, the fact these shoes can be resoled, the practicality of the barrie last (and comfort), and wonderful patina these would develop overtime made the decision feel less a cost and more like an investment. These will last 20 years, and a good all around piece to dress up and dress down.
