Another J.Crew dress that looks like a nightgown
January 6, 2026Very comfortable but shapeless. Fit is size-appropriate in the shoulders but very loose in the body and widening toward the hem. Looks like a nightgown. NOT lined, which it should be. Fabric is very thin and feels cheap. Dress gets pulls in it too easily -- after first wear, I had threads hanging from the sleeves.

Not flattering
December 6, 2025The puffed shoulder is more significant in person than I expected based on the photos. I have a larger chest and straight hips. It made my shoulders look very wide and created an unbalanced look. If you are wider in your hips and want some width to your shoulders for balance be, it could work. I also felt that the material looked cheap.

December 3, 2025I loved this and took a gamble with the single review. This worked for me with the simple tie belt but I'm going to also try other belt types as well. I love the ash color, print and overall style. I'm happy with this dress and came back for another color but they're sold out. Versatile for all seasons with the right layers.
