October 26, 2025I am an 11E, sometimes a 11EE in Alden and Allen Edmonds. The 44EU in the Derby is the right size - for sure. Although the Michael/Derby is really stiff and unforgiving on first few try ons, (I thought maybe I needed to size up on my first try), it stretches quickly with a few wears around the house. Let the heat from your foot begin to stretch and mold the shoe - and they will stretch. Also, I wore some thicker socks at first to works at stretching the shoe. Longer walks may be gradual, but you can tell the leather will break in nicely and mold to your feet.
