Drapey tie-waist dress in bandana print

Bought an L, runs a bit large for me, but I was afraid M would be small. Overall very nice dress, love the flow and the material.

I loved this and took a gamble with the single review. This worked for me with the simple tie belt but I'm going to also try other belt types as well. I love the ash color, print and overall style. I'm happy with this dress and came back for another color but they're sold out. Versatile for all seasons with the right layers.

I really wanted to love this dress, as I love the paisley pattern, but it felt very matronly on me. The silhouette, with the puff shoulder sleeves and conservative cut screamed Golden Girls no matter how I tried to style it, though it didn’t give me that impression on the model so I’m sure others will be able to pull it off. I wish there had been a bit more volume in the skirt to match the shoulder area of the sleeves, or a little less volume in the sleeves to match the skirt. Perhaps this pattern just didn’t translate well into the upper sizing. The fabric felt a little cheap for the retail cost as well, especially because it wasn’t lined in any way. I hate seeing the white side of a printed fabric, it always looks poorly done to me. Better luck next time for my J. Crew picks, I guess!
