Loose weave; kind of meh
1 hour agoI bought the men’s roll neck sweater as a gift for my wife after reading the Times Wirecutter review of it. She loved it, but wore it once and the stitching on a shoulder came undone, not from washing, just from pulling it on. J.Crew let us return it in exchange for credit, so we tried the women’s roll neck. The weave on it is so loose, you can plainly see the undershirt you’re wearing beneath it. And, honestly, I don’t see what all the fuss is about, or how this $120 sweater is any different from the $35 lookalikes from no name retailers. It’s certainly not better made.

10 hours agoI fear this sweater absolutely lives up to the hype. 100% cotton and perfectly cropped, I already own two so far and would absolutely consider another. I am typically a small but sized down to xs for a less oversized fit.

The Perfect Pink
17 hours agoI have the non-textured version of this rollneck in a couple colors and love the style so I immediately grabbed the pink colorway of the cabled version when it came out. Just like the photos irl, the cable knit is chunky without being too heavy and the cotton texture is maybe even softer than the plain version. I normally wear a M or L in J. Crew tops and own the plain version in S. I took a M in the cable knit version and it’s perfectly slouchy. I’m in love with this icy cool shade of pink too.

Great fit
17 hours agoI bought the navy and teal stripe sweater for my preteen granddaughter in December. She wears that sweater as much as soon as it is out of the wash. I decided to buy her another and to give it a rest. The reason she loves it is because it is soft comfortable, and just the right warmth. The sweater has been stuffed into a backpack, tossed on the floor, put the washer, put in the dryer and it still comes out beautiful. It is a great addition to any wardrobe.
