I bought this watch for my significant other around June 1st, 2014. Fast forward three months, the watch has already stopped working. Assuming the battery has died, we brought it to a shop to get it replaced. Upon inspection they tell us that the minute hand has bent and is now unable to rotate because it cannot surpass the 5 minute marks. Strange because it hasn't experienced any sort of trauma/been dropped whatsoever.
Lo and behold, we receive a call from the shop telling us that the inside of the watch is made up of plastic parts, meaning the inside is highly susceptible to damage (even with the slightest bit of trauma), not worth fixing, and basically worth $5.00
I wasn't expecting something particularly amazing from Timex/J.crew, but I most certainly wasn't expecting a watch made up of plastic parts either. Yes the design is nice and the croc embossed leather is neat, but functionality and durability should precede those features indefinitely. Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bradley Perfect, Perfect, Perfect. With one small problem!
This watch from Timex is absolutely spot on based on style, price, and construction. It's straight out of the 1960s and I just love it. It goes with everything, from casual to a suit, and is not too large nor is it too small...just perfect and comfortable on the wrist. The all stainless steel construction (I never would have considered this watch if it were a base metal) is great and should hold up very well over the years. So what's the only problem? Why would J.Crew not stock a replacement band, which as supplied, will only last a year with gentle use? This is unacceptable as they stock several replacement straps for their other Timex collaborations! I need a new strap for crying out loud!

Rated 3 out of 5 by jane Beautiful watch but flimsy strap
I love this watch - it looks stylish, goes with everything, and is just the right weight. But by 18 months after buying it, the strap had completely worn apart and the leather part had worn through in parts. The watch itself works fine. There should be a way to buy a replacement strap without having to buy an entirely new watch. Timex doesn't seem to sell the same strap on their site either.

Purchased this watch for a wedding (me being the groom) and very glad I did. Added a extra detail that complemented the wedding. Timeless watch for all occasions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Volunteer Great, all-occasion timepiece
A lightweight, elegant, dressed up timepiece that can be worn with either a wool suit or a swim suit and works for me in all occasions. I don't wear it in the gym or shower, however, so I can't speak for wear and tear. The leather band is comfortable, and the smaller watch face won't obstruct shirt cuffs.
Illuminated numbers and hands should be added in the future for extra functionality.
In terms of looks, functionality, and use, it's a refreshing deviation from today's gaudier-is-better watch trends.
