Product Details

These jeans are made from unsanforized Japanese denim (considered by denim nerds to be the best of the best) and constructed right here in the USA. In other words, the best of both worlds. We gave them a single rinse to allow for shrinkage.

  • Selvedge cotton.
  • Doughnut button fly.
  • Reinforced cotton twill pocket bags.
  • Hidden selvedge inside fifth pocket.
  • Bar-tacked back pockets with concealed rivets.
  • Rear selvedge cotton patch.
  • Machine wash.
  • Made in the USA.
  • Since this item is indigo dyed, it's prone to crocking, or color transfer, so wear (and wash) it with dark colors till it's worn in.
Size & Fit Details
  • Wallace & Barnes slim fit.
  • Sits below waist.
  • Straight through hip, slim through thigh and leg.
  • 15 3/4" leg opening (based on size 32/32).

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Beautiful denim, crude construction and details The unsanforized Japanese denim is gorgeous: deep blue, three dimensional, softening nicely with wear. However, I tried on three pairs to find the right size, and all three had construction issues. On the pair I'm wearing now, the stitching doesn't follow the curve of the pocket. Also the denim panels behind the front pockets are too small to stay hidden; so when I walk or sit, the seam between the denim and white cotton liner pops up through the top of the pocket. Disappointing for a garment at this price point, made in the USA for J. Crew's premium line. Sizing runs slightly large, and the waist has stretched about an inch with wear. In the proper size, the fit is flattering. February 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful dark denim Beautiful dark denim that softens amazingly over time. These jeans are definitely made to last! The dark denim goes just as well with a t-shirt as it does a button down and blazer. Despite what another review stated, I have not had any issues with the pockets or seams showing. However, keep in mind that W&B fits slightly different than 484 or 770 so be sure to try them on first unless you know that size you need. March 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by quality Jeans are made in America and the material is made in my homestate. Unlike most jeans you pay 200 bucks for these fit and are actually great quality. these are not some cheap garment that they just marked the price up. I own three pairs and they all are nice. they go with about everything. my only complaint is that Wallace and Barnes does not have a pair like these that are a bit dressier. but hey the product you see here is well worth the money. 770s may be a better option for wingtips and dress shirts but boots and plad these are the best December 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great with some nice details These jeans are very well made. I like how they have hidden rivets on the back pocket, and the visible rivets have been shorn off and sanded down to look like they are made by hand. The weight of the denim is nice. They are rigid, but not overly stiff. These will be great in the winter, and can probably be worn on all but the warmest summer days. There is a review here that criticized the pockets. I compared these to another pair of jeans I have, and I don't see what the reviewer is talking about. This is a solid pair of premium jeans, and I look forward to wearing them for a long time. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great denim Quality Japanese selvedge denim. Probably one of the nicest offerings of denim J. Crew has ever had. Right out of the package they have a really nice feel to them. I wasn't a fan of the W&B slim fit in jeans when it first came out but it has grown on me a lot. It's a very modern fit without being hipster skinny. I'm a 35-35.5 waist and the 34 fit me well, especially after a few days of wear and some stretch. One thing though - the denim has an odd smell to it...almost like a moth ball smell. I got two different pairs from two locations and they both had the same smell. Tried Febreezing it twice but it still remains. Still, I recommend these. June 27, 2015
