From Canton (making their USA debut), the first Japanese denim company to introduce a five-pocket jean to Japan in 1965, and our design team comes an unbelievably authentic selvedge jean using special fabric designed specifically for this pant from the famed Kaihara mill. Just like the original styles in the '60s, the rivets are hammered by hand and feature discreet hidden rivets in the back pockets (originally used to reduce scratching of saddles by ranchers in the Old West). The denim is unsanforized, meaning the yarns have not been treated, which, as any denim nerd will tell you, is old school and great. Cut in our Wallace & Barnes fit, and due to our own washing process, the fit will not change after washing.
